Stephen Jay Gould by: Grisselda Sanchez Centeno.
Stephen was born in 1941, in a humble family with serious financial problems; his mother was Eleonor and his father Leonard. They were inmigrants.
When Gould was five years old, his father tooks him to the hall of Dynosaurs in The American Museum of Natural History. When he was there he though:´´I had no idea there was such things, I was awestruck``.
In that moment he decided to become a Panteologist but he knew if he wants to study that carrer he must study hard. During high school he promised himself to get good grades to get a schoolarship at Columbia University; he did it.
His teacher in Columbia University discovered that he had a brilliant mind. Once a classmate asked him: How a poor guy could study in one of the best colleges?. This kind of questions never stop him.
Gould was married twice. His first marriage was with an artist Deborah Lee, they had two sons Jesse and Ethan. His second marriage was with an artist and sculptor Rhonda Rolan who is the mother of two childrens Jade and London.
Gould died in May, 2002 from a metastatic adenocarcinoma of the lung and it had spread to his brain. He died in his home surrounded by his wife and mother and  all the books he loved.
I decided to write about him because, for me, is an example that we can do wherever we want to our life

In 1995, when Serena was in nineth grade, Richard pulled his daughters out of Macc's Academy.
At the 2002 Wimbledon Championships Serena won the title of the for the first time defeating her sister Venus. This victory named Serena Williams the number one in the world ranking. Serena started in 2012 playing her debut, becaming the second female player to win a Golden Grand Slam after winning a gold medal.
For me she was a strong woman and a lead one, because she suffered discrimination and financial problem as a child and she kept her dreams, now she is an icon.

Deepak Chopra by: Giuliana Maria Privado Castillo.
Deepak Chopra born in 1947, in New Delhi, India. The son of an eminent cardiologist, Krishnan Chopra. At the beginning he wanted to be a journalist, however, he decided to study medicine at "All India Institute of Medical Sciencies" in his native city. Chopra wanted to work in Western Medicine and in 1970 moved to the United States, with just $25 in his pocket and the promise of a residency at a hospital in New Jersey; after got his residence, his career rose when he was sent to the "Boston Regional Medical Center". Disappointed about Western Medicine and its reliance on prescriptions of drugs. His life was unhappy and started to smoke and drink frequently; he said: "The relatives of patients with whom they deal are demanding, litigious, and intimidating; that´s the enviroment of medicine. Most of my colleagues were very stressed; a lot of them were addicts. I used to experienced the most extraordinary frustration".
During this time Chopra read a book that changed his life and his career path, the book was about alternative medicine. He met a guru Maharishi Mahesh yogi, and Chopra quit his job, and started the "Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products International" a company specialized in alternative products, like herbal teas and oils.
Co-founded with the international guru; the company succed in the world of alternative medicine.
Actually, Chopra has a Einstein Award from "Albert Einstein colleges of Medicine" in colaboration with the journal of Psycotherapy.
"Time" Magazine named Chopra one of the top 100 heros and icon of the 20th centuryn and credits him as "the poet-prophet of alternative medicine".
His life is inspirational because even he had a wealthty life in India he came to United States with $25 and worked hard to make his dreams come true, besides that, he noticed the clinical medicine was not enough for the patients, was just a partial relief, and the alternative medicine offered, mostly, a complete cure of any kind of sickness at the same time a spiritual experience that balance body and mind.

Oprah Winfrey by: Alfonso Garcia Serrano.
She was born in the rural town of Kosciusko, Mississippi, on January 29th in 1976. After Winfrey's birth, her mother traveled to the north and Winfrey spent her first six years living in rural poverty with her grandmother, Hattie Mae Lee, who was so poor that Winfrey often wore dresses made of potato sacks, for which the local children made fun of her. Her grandmother taught her to read before the age of three and took her to the local church, where she was nicknamed "The Preacher" for her ability to recite Bible verses.
At age six, Winfrey moved to an inner-city neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her mother Vernita Lee, who was less supportive and encouraging than her grandmother had been, largely as a result of the long hours she worked as a maid. Around this time, Lee had given birth to another daughter, Winfrey's younger half-sister, Patricia. By 1962, Lee was having difficulty raising both daughters so Winfrey was temporarily sent to live with Vernon in Nashville, Tennessee. While Winfrey was in Nashville, Lee gave birth to a third daughter who was put up for adoption, and later also named Patricia.

Winfrey ran away from home after being abused by his cousin during years. When she was 14, she became pregnant but her son died shortly after birth, Winfrey's career choice in media would not have surprised her grandmother, who once said that ever since Winfrey could talk, she was on stage. As a child, she played games interviewing her corncob doll and the crows on the fence of her family's property. Winfrey later acknowledged her grandmother's influence, saying it was Hattie Mae who had encouraged her to speak in public and "gave me a positive sense of myself".

Working in local media, she was both the youngest news anchor and the first black female news anchor at Nashville's WLAC-TV. In 1993, with her talk show was the only one free of tabloids topics and at the same time Oprah became well-known for her weight loss efforts; she lost 90 pounds.
